For his latest release OLD GROWTH FOREST, independent artist OBSRVR wanted to build a fully immersive world to help suspend the audience’s disbelief and encourage them to undertake the emotional journey hearing/feeling/watching music or a live musical performance can provide.

Created a fictional, non-profit foundation that uses Obsrvr's music as sonic infrastructure that allows individuals to access, retrieve, and re-inhabit their scattered emotional experiences across time.

Custom morphing pixel type in the "real" world. The look was inspired by early 2000's nokia cell phone screens.

Custom morphing pixel type once plugged into the Resonant Memory Architecture. Wanted a distinct dreamy contrast to the modern/corporate/ dystopian feel of the "real world."

Social Teaser

The coded memory text transforms intimate experiences—like spotting a butterfly or watching a sunset—into technical diagnostic readouts with system parameters, processing speeds, and emotional bandwidth calculations.

When overlaid on dreamy, organic visuals, this stark ASCII documentation creates compelling tension between clinical language and sublime experience. The juxtaposition suggests that our most ineffable moments can somehow be quantified and archived, making the abstract concrete while preserving the mystery of how feelings become data.
